Rm 24 game!
It's been great seeing you on our afternoon Google Meets Jacob. We like to play "I spy with my little eye" and have a turn at guessing the word. Today you showed us your Lego creation of a level crossing. I hope that you can write a story about this?

Jacob's crystals

Making a butterfly...
In our afternoon Google Meet, we listened to the Niuean story about the Spotted Butterfly. Jacob got busy with a pair of scissors and some paper and made his own butterfly to show us! Well done from Mrs Carter.

Cooking at home!
Jacob has been helping make dinner and some yummy fruit iceblocks at home with his whanau in lockdown. The flavour of the pizza is; spaghetti and red sausage with cheese on top. The iceblocks are made with juiced watermelon. Great practice of Healthy Me, Healthy You! Well done from Mrs Carter.

Rm 24 Google Meet
Yesterday afternoon we had the best turnout at our 2pm Google Meet of 12 children and 2 support staff online.
Can you see yourself and your friends? We talked about who has a "Pop It" at their house and we showed them to each other...

Team 2 Google Meets
Jacob has enjoyed our Team 2 Assembly online and our afternoon class chats on Google Meet during lockdown.
He has introduced his younger brother Jedi and also played some music to us. Well done for using your GM4GM!

Train master.

Ms Gaston's puppy!
Jacob has been quite taken by Ms Gaston's new puppy called Maple. She has come to visit us at school and is very well behaved on her lead. Jacob was able to shake her paw while Ms Gaston was busy talking to Team 2. I liked the way you look after animals in a caring way Jacob. Kapai mahi from Mrs Carter.

My trip to Stardome!
Jacob enjoyed travelling by bus to Cornwall Park in Greenlane to visit the observatory. He was particularly fascinated by the large telescope and enjoyed learning more about the earth and surrounding stars and planets. He also had fun at the playground with his friends! What did you like best?

Team Bollywood!
Jacob joined in learning new Indian dance moves as part of the Bollywood group for Fiafia! He did a great job getting up on stage and performing in front of the whole school including a large audience. I am so proud of your fantastic effort, well done from Mrs Carter.

Bike riding at PES!
Jacob had so much fun riding on a bike around the bike track at lunchtime today. He wore his helmet and pushed the pedals around and around.

Duffy award winner!

Making paper snakes!
Today I had fun folding two pieces of coloured paper and then glued them together to create this pretend snake. I learnt about over and under and repeating the pattern.

PES picnic!
On Friday 26th February we enjoyed a hikoi down to Pt England reserve to have a picnic lunch, swim in the sea with Mrs Carter, play on the playground and make sandcastles on the beach. It was great to see you having so much fun Jacob and see how much you like being in the water.
This is part of our Term 1 Inquiry topic of Cherish our Treasures - Tiaki Taonga. We learnt to look after our natural environment and not leave our rubbish behind.

Water safety in Term 1!
For the next two weeks Team 2 get to go swimming at the Glen Innes pools. Jacob enjoyed learning how to float on his back like a starfish!
He also liked playing "Ring o ring a Roses" with his peers.
